147  | 煜聞先生之言曰：『餘之訂是編也：凡禽魚草木之細，必驗其形焉，別其色焉，辨其族焉，察其性焉。詢之耆老、詰之醫師，毫厘之疑，靡所不耀，而後即安』。嗟乎！麼䯢名物，先生猶廩廩焉若是；而況島嶼之險易、城堡之堅脆、番俗之馴悍、政刑之張弛、戎伍之疏密、禮樂之異同，有關精神命脈之大者乎？抑禹跡未經，儒者從略，先生必務詳審精密；況墨丈尋常之間，習睹習聞，肯蹈澹虛恍惚，如象罔之索珠、狼𥉂之齅金已乎？則甚矣，先生之志之勤，而學之篤也。 |
