5  | 史臣吴士连曰：林邑自取败亡，有由来矣。自范胡达之陷日南、九真，寇交州为晋杜瑗击破，曾不是惩。今年寇九真，明年寇交州。杜慧度又破之，所杀过半矣。阳迈又寇九德，宋檀和之讨服其罪。虽遣使入贡，而盗寇如初。宗慤、和之长驱克林邑。阳迈幸脱虎口，挺身而走。自是南海澄波，庶几求戒矣。范志继立，又寇日南，范修破于九德，终后南帝之世，不敢北窥中州，而其国亦段富矣。至是隋人贪其宝货，兴师伐之，踣其国都，污其室宫，虽曰贪暴之师，而蛮夷猾夏者亦可以惩矣。 |
