1 五十不止身無病,數內有止皆知定。止,猶代脈也。脈來五十動而不見一止者,無病也。五十配天地造化之數,《易?系辭》曰:大衍之數五十,五十乃備,一乃數之始,十乃數之極,人之脈息,晝夜循環五髒,脈一動,循環一髒,五動循環五髒遍,五十動是十次五數循環遍,則數皆極處而不見止者,五髒皆平,故無病也。四十一止一髒絕,卻後四年多沒命,三十一止即三年,二十一止二年應,十五一止一年殂,已下有止看暴病。四十動而見一止者,是一髒欠動,脈之極數,故知一髒絕也,先絕腎經,所以言之。夫天一生水,腎屬水,生成之一數也。人之五髒所生,先生乎腎,腎水生肝木,木生心火,命門火生脾土,土生肺金,所以先絕腎,期應四年而死。三十動而見止者,兩髒欠動,脈之極數,是知腎與肝二經無氣,期應三年而死。二十動而止者,三髒欠動,脈之極數,是腎肝心三髒無氣,期應二年而死。十五動而一止者,知腎肝心脾四髒皆無氣,期一年而絕也。新注云:上言脈之動止,未知診切何部而取據,謹按《素問》《難經》云:每於平旦寅時,日未出,飲食未進,血氣未亂,醫者可以存神定意,心無外馳,診於指下,右手寸口,默數脈息至止,以決之。夫寸口者,右手氣口也。《內經》曰:氣口何以獨為五髒主?岐伯曰:胃者,水穀之海,六腑之大源也。五味入口,藏於胃,變現於氣口。又曰:脈會大淵,寸口是太淵穴也。是知寸口為脈大會之處,故能決斷五髒六腑生死吉凶矣。
