《明史鈔略》二冊鈔，莊廷鑨明史也。為本紀三，列傳二。本紀後附論甚多，蓋其書體例不純，書中留字缺筆，故或疑為呂用晦後人所鈔。是書以大獄毀版，其鈔略乃獨存。民國初，歸吳縣周圭璋特人，次歸潘君博山。博山惜其書不傳，猶幸以殘遺見世，亟出原鈔，付諸石印。
余按：是書「李成梁傳」稱，他失與其父教場，為成梁行間有功，既而殺之，與明末諸紀載悉同。至謂他失為阿臺壻，而清人自述其事，則以阿臺為教場孫壻。考其事歷行輩，當以此為正。清人所述，使阿臺與他失翁壻易位矣。教場、他失本以間阿臺有功，其被殺自緣他事，《清實錄》必易其事，謂以助阿臺見殺者，以「間諜」之名醜於黨叛故也。然太宗文告又以「祖父忠順看邊」為言，其榜文至今未毀，察之自得實矣。是書雖殘齾，又胡可忽之乎哉！ |
