74  | 學臺看了大怒，喝罵甄福道：『你既一字做不出，卻敢到本道這里來混帳，殊為可惡！』叫一聲皂隸：『打』眾皂隸齊聲吆喝起來，嚇得甄福魂飛魄散。虧得旁邊一個教官，跪過來稟道：『此童乃兵部主事卻老先生的令郎，念他年紀尚小，乞老大人寬恕。』宗師聽說，打便饒了。怒氣未息，指著甄福罵道：『你父親既是鄉紳，如何生你這不肖！我曉得你平日必然騙著父親，你父親只道你做得出文字，故叫你來考。我今把這白卷送與你父親看去。』說罷，便差人押著甄福，把原卷封了，并一個名帖送到卻待征處。一時哄動了蘭溪合縣的人，都道豆腐的兒子，只該叫他在豆腐缸邊玩耍，如何卻鄉宦把他認為己子，叫他進起考場來？有好事的便做他幾句口號道：墨水不比豆腐汁，磨來磨去磨不出；卷子不比豆腐帳，寫來寫去寫不上；硯池不比豆腐匝，手忙腳亂難了結；考場不比豆腐店，驚心駭膽不曾見。 |
