《因論》
1  | 劉子嘗涉暑而征，熱攻於腠以致病。其僕也告痡，亦莫能興。逮浹日，予有瘳。醫診之曰：「疾幸間矣，顧熱沴而未平，有遺類焉，宜謹於攝衛。衛之乖方，則病復矣。」所苦既微，而怠其說。倦眠于衾而興焉，倦隱于几而步焉，面不能罷頮，髮不能捐櫛，口不能忘味，心不能無思。如是未移日而疾也瘮如，復瘝于躬。進藥求汗，凡三渙，然後目能視。視既分，則嚮時之僕，已睨然執杯圈侍予于前矣。予訝而曰：「曩吾與若也病偕，呻也呼也，若酷而吾微；藥也餌也，吾殷而若薄。何患之同而痊之異哉？」僕諄諄而答云：已之被病也，兀然而無知；有問也，亦兀然而無知。發蓬如而忘乎亂，麵黔如而忘乎垢。洎疾之殺也，雖飲食是念，無滑甘之思，日致複初，亦不知也。」予喟然歎曰：始予有是仆也，命之理畦則蔬荒，主庖則味乖，顓廄則馬瘠，常謂其無適能適。乃今以兀然而賢我遠甚，利與鈍果相長哉！仆更矣。劉子遂言曰：樂於用則豫章貴，厚其生則社櫟賢。唯理所之，曾何膠於域哉！ |
