3  | 或難曰，龜能土蟄，鶴能天飛，使人為須臾之蟄，有頃刻之飛，猶尚不能，其壽安可學乎？抱朴子答曰，蟲之能蟄者多矣，鳥之能飛者饒矣，而獨舉龜鶴有長生之壽者，其所以不死者，不由蟄與飛也。是以真人但令學其道引以延年，法其食氣以絕穀，不學其土蟄與天飛也。夫得道者，上能竦身於雲霄，下能潛泳於川海。是以蕭史偕翔鳳以凌虛，琴高乘朱鯉於深淵，斯其驗也。何但須臾之蟄，頃刻之飛而已乎！龍蛇蛟螭，狙猬鼉蠡，皆能竟冬不，不食之時，乃肥於食時也。莫得其法。且夫一致之善者，物多勝於人，不獨龜鶴也。故太吳師蜘蛛而結網，金天據九鴈以正時，帝軒俟鳳鳴以調律，唐蕘觀莫莢以知月，終歸知往，乾鵲知來，魚伯識水旱之氣，蜉蝣曉潛泉之地，白狼知殷家之興，鸑鷟見周家之盛，龜鶴偏解導養，不足怪也。且仙經長生之道，有數百事，但有遲速煩要耳，不必皆法龜鶴也。上士用思遐邈，自然玄暢，難以愚俗之近情，而推神人之遠旨。 |
