8  | 家大人每見小子愛弄圖章，輒戒曰：一生著幾緉屐耶！累累乎為者此，亦玩物喪誌一之端，小子戒之。又嚐教小子曰：士人宦遊，圖章類多巨石，攜之輿篋，人恆疑此中未何物也，不若易象牙、黃楊，可絕暴客念，且減輿佁力，此亦人之身坐輿中，俾之肩復滋重焉，不惻然耶，毋謂重寧幾，炎天遠道減一分，力省倍矣。吾見文國博所鐫牙章最善，王祿之亦好作黃楊印，則知先輩亦不廢此，小子須識先輩隨事體恤處，毋謂老子作不韻語也，小子奉嚴訓，時惴惴焉。家大人印多喜歙人方仲芝，以其工象牙、黃楊也，所蓄不多，次第於左，手澤猶存，不能展視。 |
