7  | 「臣某等言：臣等再陈丹恳，请献鸿名，天心未从，陨越无措，臣某诚惶诚恐，顿首顿首。谨按尧曰：咨尔舜。舜曰格尔禹。汤曰：吾自甚武，自号曰武王，则尧、舜、禹、汤皆当时王者之号也。考皇帝之故实，徵徃圣之宪章，允恊礼经，焕乎图牒，伏惟皇帝陛下允恭克让，约巳谦尊，参天两地之功，为而不有安上理人之德，置而不论，至心王言，非羣下所仰望也。然臣等伏以为尊号者，所以类上帝，飨祖宗，万人所称，百蛮所仰，表圣德于率土，播天声于无疆，臣下请之之谓礼，帝王承之之谓孝，孝大于让，礼先于谦，百王不刋之典，安可得而废也？臣等又以春秋本于五始，元者一岁之首，春者四时之首，王者受命之首，正月者政教之首，郊天大礼者，立极之首。今天地交泰，俯临元辰，正始之美，正当其运。陛下确违羣愿，固守谦冲，此臣等所以兢惕失图，恛惶无措，上冒严宪，敢逃厚责！伏乞俯垂天听，察纳微诚，诏礼官议臣所请，揆日推礼，䖍奉鸿休，尽敬于此，犹恐天光未照，三献无徵，彷徨阙庭，伏待斧鑕，无任耸望之至」。 |
