| 19 | 劉昞，字彥明一作延明，燉煌人。初仕西涼李暠，蒙遜克酒泉，拜為秘書郎中，專管註記。蒙遜下令曰：秘書郎中劉彥明，學冠當時，道先區內，可授玄處光生之號，拜以三老之禮，築陸沈觀於西苑以居之，躬往禮焉。蒙遜嘗燕群臣於遊林堂，談論經傳，顧謂昞曰：「仲尼何如人也？」昞曰：「聖人也。」蒙遜曰：「夫聖人者，不凝滯於物，而能與世推移。畏於匡，辱於陳，伐樹削迹，聖人固若是乎？」昞不能對。蒙遜曰：「卿知其外，未知其內。昔魯人有浮海而失津者，至於亶州，見仲尼及七十二子遊于海中，與魯人木杖，令閉目乘之，使歸告魯侯，築城以備寇。魯人出海，投杖水中，乃龍也。具以狀告魯侯，不信。俄而有群燕數萬銜土培城，魯侯信之，大城曲阜。既訖而齊寇至，攻魯，不克而返。此所以稱聖人也。」昞學徒數百，毎月蒙遜使人致以羊酒。茂虔尊為國師，親自致拜，命官屬以下，皆北面受業焉。 |
