10  | 越一日，道成自造褚渊，携手入室，款语良久，乃谓曰：「我夜梦得官。」渊曰：「今授始尔，恐一二年间，未容便移，且吉梦未必应在旦夕。」道成还以告俭，俭曰：「褚是未达理耳。且襦虽位望隆重，不过一惜身保妻子之人，非有奇才异节，公有所为，彼必不敢立异，俭能保之。」乃倡议加道成重爵，体绝群臣。以议报渊，渊果无违异。丙午，诏进道成太傅、假黄钺、大都督中外诸军事，兼领扬州牧，剑履上殿，入朝不趋，赞拜不名。又道成心重谢朏，必欲引参佐命，拜为左长史，尝置酒与论魏、晋故事，因曰：「石苞不早劝晋文，死方怮哭，非知机也。」朏曰：「晋文世事魏室，必将终身北面。借使魏依唐、虞故事，亦当三让弥高。」道成不悦，仍以朏为侍中，更以王俭为左长史。 |
