100  | 庚午，赐楚州孝子徐积绢米。积三岁父殁，每旦，哭甚哀。母使读《孝经》，辄流涕。事母尽孝，朝夕冠带定省。年四十，不婚不仕。不婚者，恐异姓不能尽心于母也；不仕者，恐一日去其亲也。乡人勉之就举，遂偕母之京师。既登第，未调官而母亡，遂不复仕。监司上其行，以为郡教授。久之，致仕，归山阳。积尝语苏轼曰：「自古皆有功，独称大禹之功，自古皆有才，独称周公之才，以其有德以将之故尔。」轼然其言。 |
