260  | 張衡字平子，南陽西鄂人。堪之孫也。少善屬文，游於三輔，因入京師，觀太學，遂通《五經》，貫六藝，才高於世。永元中，舉孝廉不行，邊辟公府不就，尤致思於天文、陰陽、曆算，常好玄經。安帝雅聞衡善術學，公車徵特拜郎中，遷太史令。作渾天儀，著《靈憲》、《算罔論》。陽嘉元年作候風地動儀。出為河間相，徵拜尚書。永和四年卒。著《周官訓故》，崔璦以為不能有異於諸儒也。又欲繼孔子《易》說《彖》、《象》殘缺者，竟不能就。所著詩、賦、銘、七言、《靈憲》、《應間》、《七辯》、《巡誥》、《懸圖》凡三十二篇。 |
