31  | 十二月，胡公林翼由黃州拔營進軍英山，公弟貞幹從之。公調派前幫十營，以朱品隆、李榕總領之，進駐太湖縣，派委彭山屺總理營務處。公與營官講求堅壘浚濠之法，濠深丈有五尺，躬親巡視量度，雖風雪不避也。是月公弟國潢、國荃遷葬星岡公王太夫人於大界新塋。江西巡撫耆齡公調任廣東。公乃作《畢君殉難碑記》，刻石立於景德鎮畢剛毅公陣亡之處。是歲，和春公奏劾德興阿罷職，江北大營不復置帥，詔和春兼轄之。周武壯公天培陣亡於浦口。勝保丁憂，陳請回京穿孝。以袁甲三為欽差大臣，與南河總督庚長督辦軍務，攻克臨淮關。袁公駐守之。 |
