174  | 四月二十六日，公奏《敬陳聖德三端預防流弊》一摺。維時上孜孜求治，在廷臣僚，鮮以逆耳之言進者。廣西軍事日棘，賽尚阿公以端揆大臣出而督師，中外驚懾。公意欲為人臣者趨尚骨鯁，培其風節，養其威棱，遇有事變，乃可倚之以折衝捍患，不至畏葸退縮。公所陳多切直之語，疏入時，恐犯不測之罪。上諭：「曾國藩條陳一摺，朕詳加披覽，意在陳善責難，預防流弊，雖迂腐欠通，意尚可取。朕自即位以來，凡大小臣工章奏，於國計民生用人行政諸大端有所補裨者，無不立見施行；即敷陳理道，有益身心者，均著置左右，用備省覽；其或窒礙難行，亦有駁斥者，亦有明白宣諭者，欲求獻納之實，非徒沽納諫之名，豈遂以『毋庸議』三字置之不論也？伊所奏，除廣西地利兵機已查辦外，餘或語涉過激，未能持平；或僅見偏端，拘執太甚。念其意在進言，朕亦不加斥責。至所論人君一念自矜，必至喜諛惡直等語，頗為切要。自維藐躬德薄，夙夜孜孜，時存檢身不及之念，若因一二過當之言不加節取，采納不廣，是即矯矜之萌。朕思為君之難，諸臣亦當思為臣之不易，交相咨儆，坐言起行，庶國家可收實效也。」欽此。 |
