192  | 七月十三日，道過宿州。周公天爵方引病在籍，以函約公相見於旅店，縱談今古，自夜達旦，乃別去。二十五日，行抵安徽太和縣境小池驛，聞訃：江太夫人於六月十二日薨逝。公大慟，改服奔喪，取道黃梅縣，覓舟未得，乃乘小舟渡江，至九江府城，雇舟溯江西上。賊於六月由道州竄出，陷桂陽州。是月陷郴州，由安仁、醴陵下犯長沙省城。湖南各郡舊有會匪蠢焉欲動。湘鄉尤多匪蹤，縣令朱孫詒緝治甚勤，禮請邑中儒士羅公澤南、李公續賓兄弟、王公鑫、劉公蓉等，團結鄉勇，加以訓練，而竹亭公以鄉老巨望總其成。是時鄉團以湘鄉為稱首。 |
