63  | 洪武二十五年正月甲辰，天策衛卒吳英父得罪繫獄，英詣闕陳情，願沒入為官奴，以贖父罪。太祖諭英曰：「汝之情固有可矜，但汝平時何不勸諫汝父，使不犯法。今罪不可貸，然念汝愛父之至，特曲法宥之。汝自今凡遇父有不善，當即諫止。若不聽，必再三言之，使不陷于非義，斯為孝也。」又顧謂侍臣曰：「此卒非知書者，能如此，亦可謂難矣。故特曲法以宥其父，將以勵天下之為人子者。」 |
