45  | 洪武七年正月乙亥，太祖召太子宮臣諭之日：「汝知所謂重器乎？」對曰：「豈非商彞周鼎乎？」太祖曰：「汝所謂商彞周鼎者，此非重器乎？太子者，天下之重器。人有彞鼎，尚知寶愛，太子承主器之重，豈得不寶愛之乎？寶愛之者，必擇端人正士以為輔翼，朝夕與居，使其熟聞善言，不邇詖行，自然漸漬，以成其德。若惟委之於便嬖近習，是委重器於塗，而不可寶愛之矣。汝等日輔太子，講論誦說之時，必導之以正，使其道明德立，才器充廣，庶幾他日克勝重任，則可以副朕所望。」 |

| 15 | 洪武七年正月度午，吏部奏主事員多，欲改主事王性任戶部。太祖不許，曰：「自古設官分職，以理庶務，政有煩簡，故官有多寡，當因時制宜，豈得盡拘一律乎？況初入仕者，政非素習，事何由治，職何由稱哉？自今六部官毋得輕調，如有年老者，就本部陞用。」 |
