1  | 宋吳棫撰。其書部分多謬誤，引證尤為泛濫。然韻書始自齊梁，而古韻則自宋以前無專書，以棫此書為祖。將有其末，必求其本。故錄之以見後來之知講古韻，從此書始；後來之妄講古韻，亦從此書始焉。 |
| 1 | 明楊慎撰。四書雖各為部帙，而核其體例，實本一書。特每得數卷，即出問世，故標目各別。其書皆用吳棫《韻補》之例，以今韻分部，而古韻之相葉者分隸之。時有疏舛，然援引終為賅博。 |
