3  | 廖钦经河内，休于途，民见之，曰：『是我昔日父也。』公绐曰：『我商人，非尔父。』于是聚老少争识公，乃罗拜于前，公不能隐，竞持酒肴相慰藉。明日，各持缣以遗公，须臾，裒数百匹。公辞不受，民曰：『父有德于我，欲报无所，今父幸涉我境，持此以报父，愿卒受之。』公曰：『我何德于汝？纵汝德我，何不爱我以德乎？茍以所赆为可受，则昔之所为，不过沽名以觊今日之利，我岂受哉！』民益恳请受。公揣知其意牢不可却，一夕不告而去。其所行类如此。 |
