何喬新，字廷秀，廣昌人，進士，厯官刑部侍郎。成化閒，播州宣慰楊輝寵庶子友，欲奪嫡子愛，乃立友，為凱里安寜宣撫司，誣愛以交通唐王，朝廷遣官即訊，友賄諸權貴，皆為㳺說，喬新至，盡條上其罪狀，白愛無反謀，而革友宣撫職，播事遂定。孔　鏞字昭文，山東人，至聖裔，天順甲戌進士，成化時，廵撫貴州，有清平縣苖阿溪者，桀鷔多智，有飬子曰阿剌，膂力絶倫，兩人相資，橫行夷落，嵗賂上官，以肆其毒，鏞至，亷得其状，用指揮王通計，擒而磔之，一境以寜。
