21 | 太常魏水洲先生良弼,解元,魏師伊先生,良政處士魏藥湖先生良器魏良弼,字師說,號水洲,南昌新建人。嘉靖癸未進士,知松陽縣。入為給事中,累遷禮科都給事中。十年召王瓊為冢宰。南京御史馬敭等劾之,下詔獄。先生疏救,亦下獄拷訊,尋復職。明年彗見東方,先生以為應在張孚敬。孚敬疏辯。先生受杖於殿廷,死而復蘇。孚敬亦自陳致仕,彗果滅。越月改汪鋐為吏部尚書,先生又劾之。又明年,副都御史王應鵬上疏失書職名,下獄。先生以為細故,當原又下獄拷訊。先生累遭廷杖,膚盡而骨不續,言之愈激。上訝其不死,收之輒赦。或且遷官,不欲其去。永嘉復位,始以京察罷。先生居鄉,情味真,至鄉人見先生有所告誡,退輒稱其說以敎家人。其偶然者流為方語,而深切者垂為法。言曰:「魏水洲云云,不可易也。疾痛則問藥,旱潦則問捄,先生因而付之,各畢所願。閭里頓化,争訟亦息。人有夜夢先生者,明旦得嘉客生兒者,夢先生過其家,則里中相賀,以為瑞稻。初登,果未落,家有老人不敢嘗,必以奉先生,其為鄉里所親敬如此。先生兄弟,皆於陽明撫豫時受學,故以致良知自明而誠知微,以顯天地萬物之情與我之情自相應照,能使天囘象君父易慮,士大夫永思至愚夫孺子亦徵於寤寐。何者?不慮之知,達之天下,智愚疏戚,萬有不同,孰無良焉。此所以不戒而孚也。歿之日,詔其子孫曰:予平生仗忠信皇天,鑒不得已之言,后土憐欲速朽之骨,陵谷有變,人心無改,不必銘誌。隆慶。改元,晉太常少卿致仕。萬厯乙亥卒,年八十有四。弟良政、良器。良政,字師伊,燕居無墮容。嘗曰:「學問頭腦既明,惟專一得之,氣專則精,精專則明,神專則靈」。又曰:「不尤人,何人不可處。不累事,何事不可為」。舉鄉試第一,尋卒。水洲言:「吾夢中見師伊,輒流汗浹背」。其方嚴如此。良器字師顏,號藥湖洪都。從學之後,隨陽明至越。時龍溪為諸生,落魄不羈,每見方巾中衣往來,講學者竊罵之。居與陽明鄰,不見也,先生多方誘之。一日,先生與同門友,投壺,雅歌龍溪,過而見之曰:「腐儒亦為是耶?」先生答曰:「吾等為學未嘗擔板,汝自不知耳」。龍溪於是稍相嬺就,已而有味乎其言,遂北面陽明。緒山臨事多滯,則戒之曰:「心何不灑脫?」龍溪工夫懶散,則戒之曰:「心何不嚴慄?」其不為姑息如此。嘗與龍溪同行,遇雨先生手蓋龍溪,不得已,亦手蓋而有怍容,顧先生自如,乃始惕然陽明。有內喪先生龍溪司庫不厭煩縟,陽明曰:「二子可謂執事敬矣」。歸主白鹿洞,生徒數百人,皆知宗王門之學,疽發背醫,欲割去腐肉不可卒,年四十二。先生云:理無定在,心之所安,即是理孝無定法。親之所安,即是孝龍溪與先生最稱莫逆,然龍溪之𤣥逺,不如先生之淺近也。 |
