12  | 楊爵，字伯修，號斛山，陜之富平人。幼貧，苦挾册躬耕，為兄所累，繫獄上書邑令辭意激烈，令異之曰：「此竒士也」。出而加禮。登嘉靖己丑進士第，官行人考選御史。母憂，廬墓畢，補原官。辛丑，上封事，謂：「今日致危亂者五：一則輔臣夏言，習為欺罔。翊國公郭勛為國巨蠧，所當急去，二則凍餒之，民不憂恤而為方士。修雷壇三，則大小臣工弗覩朝儀，宜慰其望。四則名器濫及緇黃出入大內非制五，則言事諸臣。若楊最、羅洪先等，非死即斥，所損國體不小」。疏入，上大怒，逮繫鎮撫司，拷掠備至，㭱鎻晝夜，血肉淋漓，死者數矣，而先生氣定，故得再甦。主事周天佐、御史浦鋐俱以救先生箠死獄中，於是防守益嚴。上日使人偵先生一言一動皆籍記。偵者苦於不得言，以情告先生，使多為善言。先生曰：「有意而言，便是欺也」。部郎錢緒山、劉晴川、給事周訥谿先後以事下獄，相與講學不輟。緒山先釋先生，願有以為別，緒山曰：「靜中收攝精神，勿使遊放，則心體湛一，髙明廣大，可馴致矣。作聖之功，其在此乎？」先生敬識之，與晴川訥谿讀書賦詩，又如是者五年。所著《周易辨錄》、《中庸解》若干卷。乙巳八月，上用箕神之言，釋先生三人，而三人者猶取道潞水舟中講學，踰臨清而別㑹上造箕臺，太宰熊浹驟諫，上怒，罷浹，復逮三人時先生抵家甫十日，聞命就道在獄。又三年丁未十一月，髙元殿災，上怳忽，聞火中有呼三人姓名者，次日釋歸，歸二年而卒。己酉，十月九日也，年五十七。隆慶初，贈光祿寺少卿，諡忠介。初，韓恭簡講學，先生輩來往拜其門，恭簡異其氣岸，欲勿受，已叩其學，詫曰：「宿學老儒莫能過也，吾幾失人矣！剛大之氣，百折不囘人」。與椒山並稱，謂之「韓門二楊」。 |
