5  | 太常史玉池先生孟麟、史孟麟字際明，號玉池，常州宜興人。萬厯癸未進士，官至太常寺少卿。三王並封㫖下，先生作問答，上奏乙卯張差之變，請立皇太孫，詔降五級調外任。先生師事涇陽，因一時之弊，故好談工夫。夫求識本體，即是工夫無工夫而言，本體只是想像卜度而已，非真本體也。即謂先生之言，是談本體可也。陽明言無善無惡心之體，先生作性善說闢之。夫無善無惡心之體，原與性無善無不善之意不同。性以理言，理無不善，安得云無心以氣，言氣之動，有善有不善，而當其藏體於寂之時，獨知湛然而已，安得謂之有善有惡乎？其時楊晉菴頗得其解，移書先生，謂錯會陽明之意是也。獨怪陽明門下解之者曰：無善無惡，斯為至善。亦竟以無善無惡屬之於性，真索解而人不得矣。 |
