般般白虎，觀釁荊楚。孫吳不逞，金皇赫怒。梅鼎祚《西晉文紀》引王隱《晉書》。太康六年，荊州送兩足虎，時尚書郎索靖議稱半虎，博令王鈐為文。案：王隱書亡於唐末，此文唐人未經引見，不知鼎祚何據也。《開元占經》一百十六引《晉雜事》「太康六年南陽獻兩足虎」，注云：「干寶曰，虎金精，南陽火也。金入火刑王室亂妖也。」又引王隱《晉書》，中宗詔問王隱曰：「荊州送兩足虎，其欲何為也？」隱曰：「謹案先臣銓傳，太康時獻兩足虎因作歌詩以諷。銓意以晉金行也。金在西方，其獸為虎，虎有四足，猶國有四方，無半勢而又見獲，將有懷愍之禍也。」據《占經》，乃王銓作詩，非王鈐為文。詩以為妖，文以為瑞，當疑。姑祿此，俟考。
