4  | 張衡，字平子，南陽西鄂人。高才過人，性巧，明天象，善畫。累拜侍中，出為河間王相，年六十二。昔建州浦城縣山有獸名駭神，豕身人首，狀貌醜惡，百鬼惡之，好出水邊石上。平子往寫之，獸入潭中不出。或云：「此獸畏人畫，故不出也，可去紙筆。」獸果出，平子拱手不動，潛以足指畫獸，今號為巴獸潭。 |
