2  | 二年春正月，臺灣民洪紀作亂，鎮道葉紹春、徐宗幹督兵討之。帝如梁格莊謁陵，越九日還宮。夏五月，江蘇所屬州縣地生白毛。秋七月，協辦大學士杜受田卒。初，宣宗於諸子中，鍾愛恭王奕訢，欲立之。以帝齒居長，無失德，意未決。一日，命諸子校獵南苑，是日，恭王所得鳥獸最多，帝獨無所獻，宣宗詢之，帝對曰：『時方春和，鳥獸字微，不忍傷生命以干天和，且不欲以弓馬一日之長與諸弟競爭耳。』宣宗大悅，曰：『是真有君人之度矣！』儲位遂定。時受田為帝師傅，當日之語，受田實教之，故帝即位，即晉受田協揆之職。至是卒，帝慟哭失聲，親臨奠醊，贈太師，予諡文正。冬十二月丁未朔，日食，壬戌既望，月食，詔停冬至慶賀，從通政使羅惇衍請也。十二月，京師地震。 |
