18  | 會韓琦行邊，趨涇州，而謀者言元昊謀寇渭州。己丑，琦亟趨鎮戎軍，盡出其兵，又募敢勇凡萬八千人，使福將以擊賊。涇原駐泊都監桑懌為先鋒，鈐轄朱觀、涇原都監武英繼之，行營都監王珪、參軍事耿傅皆從。琦面授福等方略，以諸寨相距僅四十里，道近且易，芻糧足供，度勢未可戰則據險設伏，待其歸然後邀擊之。福等就道，琦親至城外重戒之。翼日，福自新壕外分輕騎數千趨懷遠城、捺龍川，遇鎮戎軍西路都巡檢常鼎、同巡檢內侍劉肅，與賊戰于張家堡南，斬首數百。賊棄馬羊橐駝佯北，懌引騎趨之，福亦分兵自將踵其後。薄暮，福、懌合軍屯好水川，朱觀、武英為一軍屯龍落川，隔山相距五里，約明日會兵，不使賊得逸去。邏者傳賊兵少，故福等輕之。路益遠，芻糧不繼，人馬已乏食三日。 |
