77  | 春正月丁卯朔，元兵蟻附登城。知衡州長沙尹穀寓城中，時方為二子行冠禮，或曰：「此何時，行此迂闊事？」穀曰：「正欲令兒曹冠帶見先人於地下耳！」既畢禮，乃積薪扃戶，朝服，望闕拜已，即縱火自焚。鄰家救之，火熾不可前，但遙見烈焰中，穀正冠危坐，闔門少長皆死。李芾命酒酹之，字穀曰：「尹務實，男子也，先我就義矣！」因留賓佐會飲，夜傳令，猶手書「盡忠」字為號，飲達旦，諸賓佐出，參議楊霆赴園池死。芾坐熊湘閣，召帳下沈忠，遺之金，曰：「吾力竭，分當死。吾家人亦不可辱於俘，汝盡殺之，後殺我。」忠伏地叩頭，辭以不能。芾固命之，忠泣而諾。取酒，飲其家人，盡醉，乃遍刃之。芾亦引頸受刃。忠縱火焚其居，還家，殺其妻子，復至火所，大慟，舉身投地自刎。幕僚陳億孫、顏應焱、鐘蜚英皆死。潭民聞之，多舉家自盡，城無虛井，縊林木者相望。守將吳繼明、劉孝忠以城降。 |
