42  | 二月壬午朔，帝御崇政殿，親閱諸軍將校，按名籍，參勞績成升黜之，𧾷俞月而畢。謂近臣曰：「朕選擢將校，先取其循謹能御下者，武勇次之。」又曰：「兵雖眾，茍不簡擇，與無兵同。朕因講習，漸至精銳，倘統帥得人，何敵不克！」舊制，諸軍辭見，或行間驍果出眾者，令將校互相保任。散員左班都頭魏能戍邊，不為眾所保，帝曰：「此人才勇，朕可自保之。」由是稍加進用。 |
