219  | 謝道承字又紹，閩縣人。幼孤力學，康熙庚子舉鄉試第一，次年成進士。以母老不蘄仕，即謀歸省，親故慰勸，方赴廷對，選庶吉士，授編修。乞假歸，晨昏侍養。築一枝山房，率子弟讀書其中，家居十三年，母卒，喪畢，召見授中允，晉侍讀，轉國子祭酒。即移居監院中，與生徒昕夕講習。崇正學，斥浮囂，躬率先以敦厲之，太學風氣為一變。明年，遷內閣學士兼禮部侍郎，仍領祭酒事。未幾，以勞卒于官。道承齠齔，開敏不群，長從舅氏侯官林佶游，所學日進，為詩歌古文詞，軼出輩流。性介特，不騖聲譽。時漳浦蔡世遠、長洲徐葆光以文學有盛名，先後造謁，皆不報。再官翰林，驟被峻擢，前大學士趙國麟實薦之。道承未嘗執門下士禮，國麟以是益重焉。在朝歷職日淺，未盡其蘊，時論惜焉。著有《二梅亭集》。子，璈，乾隆戊辰進士，官戶部額外主事卒，文學有父風。 |
