陳　淳字安卿，漳州龍溪人。朱熹來守其鄉，淳請受教。及熹卒，淳追思師訓，日積月累，義理貫通，洞見條緒。性孝友，居鄉不沽名徇俗，恬然退守。雖不用於世，而憂時論事，悲閔動人，學者稱為「北溪先生。庸」國朝雍正二年，禮臣議曰：「陳淳所著《語、孟大學》中， 口義等書，其言太極、言仁諸篇，𤼵明天理，全體示學者標的。朱子數語，人以南來，吾道喜，得陳淳進従祀」。
