丁　度字公雅，恩州清河人。大中祥符中，登服勤詞學科、判吏部南曹。上書論六事，大后善之。知制誥，遷翰林學士、領羣牧使。仁宗問所以禦邊，度上《備邊要覽》，除觀文殿學士、知審刑院。㑹有言其求柄用者，帝曰：「度在侍從十五年，數論天下事，顧未及私，安從？」得是語。擢工部侍郎、樞宻副使，又進慶《歴兵録》五卷、《贍邊錄》一卷。由參知政事改觀文殿學士，帝每以學士呼之而不名，著述甚富。子諷，官集賢校理。王　曾，字孝先，孟都人。咸平中，由鄉貢試禮部，廷對皆第一，累職史舘修撰，遷翰林學士、㕘知政事。仁宗即位，授禮部尚書。㑹丁謂貶，進中書侍郎、同平章事、集賢殿大學士，尋知青州，徙改天平節度使，復判鄆州。曾資質端厚，方嚴持重，每入見，言利害事審而中理，上尊禮異，常在朝進止有定處。平居寡言笑，惡僥倖，人莫敢干以私進退，士人鮮有知者。嘗語范仲淹曰：「執政者恩欲歸已，怨將誰歸？」知天雄軍」時，契丹往来，必歛卓徒，無敢譁，人樂其政，為畫像祀之。景祐初，復拜平章事，封沂國公。卒，謚文正，仁宗篆其碑曰「旌賢之碑」。
