蔡克㢘，字道卿，晉江人。嘉靖己丑進士，歴戶部尚書蔡雲程字亨之，臨海人。嘉靖己丑進士，歴刑部尚書。。蔡汝楠字子木，德清人。年十八，舉鄉試。十九，登嘉靖壬辰進士，授行人。封王，轉員外郎。政務必舉，究極經史楊確古今，而文望亦日以著。尋由歸德補知衡州。衡僻居湖南，百務簡陋，楠相度事宜，興舉廢墜。是時士子局於風氣，文習未昌，尤惓惓考校，若師生然，盡日而止。凡有質論槀成二書，名曰《衡襄問，辨》《五經臆說》，海內文士皆宗之。陞河南巡撫都御史，百度貞肅，羣吏帖然。擢兵部團營侍郎，轉南京工部侍郎，卒於留都。楠資稟卓異，氣格不羣，精於詞翰，文宗西漢，詩駕盛唐，所著有《白石文集》、《行於世、白石類藁》、《籌邉要略》、《天文輿地》等書。
