乙酉，前西京留守推官歐陽修為鎮南節度掌書記、館閣校勘，樞宻使王曙所薦也。修，安福人，案歐陽修，《宋史》作廬陵人，其文集亦自稱廬陵歐陽修，此作安福人，非是。詢之裔孫。始、錢惟演留守西京，修及尹洙為官屬，皆有時名，惟演待之甚厚，修等逰飲無節，惟演去，曙繼至，數加戒敇，嘗厲色謂修等曰：「諸君知㓂萊公晚年之禍乎？政以縱酒過度耳！」衆客皆唯唯，修獨起對曰：「以修聞之，㓂公之禍，政以老而不知止耳！」曙黙然，終不怒，更薦修及洙，置之館閣，議者賢之。修洙得館職，㨿㑹要皆王曙所薦，或稱責歐陽修乃王曽，非也。錢惟演以明道二年九月去西京，曙即繼之，曙尋拜樞宻使，景祐元年正月，王曽始為留守，度其至時，脩已不在西京矣，今從本傳，然曙既死，是年九月，洙初除館閣校勘，盖曙先薦之也。
