秋七月丙申，鑄五溪都防禦使印，賜溪州。先是，諸道銅鑄佛像，悉輦赴京，毀之。丁酉，詔勿復毀，仍令所在崇奉，但毋更鑄。周世宗悉毀銅佛像鑄錢，謂宰相曰：「佛教以為頭目髓腦有利於衆生，尚無所惜，寧復以銅像為愛乎？」鎮州銅大悲像，甚有靈應，擊毀之際，以斧钁自胸鑱破之。太祖聞其事，後世宗北征，病疽發胸間，咸謂其報應，太祖因重釋教。此事見楊億談苑，今不取。甲辰，詔諸州兩稅督納時，縣令佐毋得兩處㸃檢入抄，重有追擾。
