45  | 庚辰，徙封州刺史、知絳州錢惟濟知潞州。初，惟濟自諸試郡授絳州，民有條桑者，盜奪桑不能得，乃自創其臂，誣桑主欲殺之，乆繫不能辨，惟濟取盜而給食視之，而盜以左手舉已筯，惟濟曰：「以左手創他人者，上重下輕，今汝創特下重，正用左手傷右臂爾！非爾自為之耶？」盜遂沮伏，上聞之，謂宰相向敏中曰：「惟濟試守郡，輙明辨，後必為能吏矣」。於是移潞州，民相驚，有外寇奔城而仆者相枕籍，惟濟從容以出，從騎甚省，因宻捕惑衆者送獄，有頃自定，白骨山僧自言死日，逺近趨之，爭施金帛，惟濟遣人䕶察，及期不死，乃杖配之。惟濟兄惟演在禁林，嘗奏曰：「惟濟久在外，願得一至京師，以慰弟兄之思」。上嘉其友愛，即日召之。 右僕射陳堯叟卒，贈侍中，謚文惠。 |
