48  | 丁卯，宴餞趙普於長春殿，上賜普詩，普捧而泣曰：「陛下賜臣詩，當刻於石，與臣朽骨同葬泉下」。上動容答之，明日，謂近臣曰：「趙普於國家有大勲力，朕布素時與之逰，從齒髪衰矣，不欲煩以機務，擇善地俾之臥治。因詩𨗳意，普感激且泣，朕亦為之墮睫」。宋琪對曰：「普昨至中書，執御詩涕泣，謂臣曰：此生餘年，無階上答，庻來世得効犬馬之力。臣既聞普此言，今復聞宣諭，君臣始終之分，可謂盡善矣」。 長春之宴，樞密使王顯等侍側，數視上袴，上怪而問之，顯等曰：「陛下所衣袴，文縷俱倒」。上笑謂曰：「朕未嘗御新衣，蓋澣濯頻所致耳」。上因言：「此雖偪下已甚，蓋念機杼之勞苦，欲示敦樸，為天下先也」。顯等拜舞稱謝。 |
