11  | 乙卯，日本國僧奝然與其徒五六人自其國來入朝，奝然言其國王姓王氏，自始祖至今，凡六十四世，八十五王矣，其文武僚吏，亦皆世官，上聞之嘆息，謂宰相曰：「此島夷爾，尚存古道。中國自唐季海內分裂五代世數尤促，大臣子孫皆鮮克繼祖父之業，朕雖德不及往聖，然孜孜求理，惟恐庻獄有寃，未嘗敢自暇逸，以田遊聲伎為樂，兾上穹降鑒，庻幾作子孫長久計，使運祚悠逺，大臣亦世守祿位，卿等宜各盡心輔朕，無令逺夷，獨享斯慶也」。因賜奝然紫衣，存撫之甚厚。 |
