20  | 傅作霖，武陵人。由乡举仕唐王，大学士苏观生奏为职方主事，监纪其军。观生殁，倚何腾蛟长沙，改监军御史。永明王在全州，超拜兵部左侍郎，掌部事，寻进尚书，从至武冈。时刘承胤擅政，作霖与相善，故骤迁。及大兵逼武冈，承胤议迎降，作霖勃然责之。承胤遣使纳款，大兵入城，作霖冠带坐堂上。承胤力劝之降，不从，遂被杀。妾郑有殊色，被执，驱之过桥，跃入水中死。 |
