《列傳第一百一》

尋考察科道，拱請與都察院同事。時大學士趙貞吉掌都察院，持議稍異同。給事中韓楫劾貞吉有所私庇。貞吉疑拱嗾之，遂抗章劾拱，拱亦疏辨。帝不直貞吉，令致仕去。拱既逐貞吉，專橫益著。尚寶卿劉奮庸上疏陰斥之，給事中曹大埜疏劾其不忠十事，皆謫外任。拱初持清操，後其門生、親串頗以賄聞，致物議。帝終眷拱不衰也。

劉奮庸，洛陽人。嘉靖三十八年進士。授兵部主事。尋改禮部兼翰林待詔。侍穆宗裕邸。進員外郎。穆宗即位，以舊恩，擢尚寶卿。已，籓邸舊臣相繼柄用，獨奮庸久不調。大學士高拱亦故官也，再起任事，頗專恣，奮庸疾之。隆慶六年三月，上疏曰：
