14  | 馬驌，字宛斯，一字驄御，鄒平人。順治已亥進士，謁選在京師。用才望，與順天鄉試同考官。後為淮安府推官，尋奉裁，改知靈壁縣，有善政，卒於官。士民皆哭，且號於上，曰：「願世世奉祀」。於是得部檄祠名宦。驌少孤，事母以孝聞。穎敏強記，於書無不精研，而尤癖左氏春秋以敘事易。編年引端竟緒，條貫如一傳，謂之左傳事緯》，凡數萬言。又取太古以來及亡秦之事，合經史諸子，鉤括裁纂，佐以圖考，參以外錄，謂之繹史，分五部：一曰太古、三皇、五帝，計十篇，二曰三代夏商、西周，計二十篇。三曰春秋十二公時事，計七十篇。四曰戰國春秋至亡秦，計五十篇，五曰外錄，紀天官地志、名物、制度等計十篇。合一百六十篇，篇為一卷。其書最精，時人稱為馬三代。顧炎武讀是書，歎曰：「必傳之作也」。康熙四十四年，仁皇帝南巡，狩至蘇州。一日，垂問驌所著書，命大學士張玉書物色元板。明年四月，令人齎白金二百兩至鄒平購板入內府。 |
