40  | 喻樗，字子才，自祥符徙家無錫，少慕伊、洛之學，從楊時游舉進士。以趙鼎薦，授祕書省正字。力言和議之非，忤秦檜，出判衡州致仕。檜死，起大宗正丞，厯擢浙東提舉常平，以治績聞。樗有人倫鑒，張九成、沈晦、樊光逺輩，未第時俱以第一人期之，後果然。有《易義四書，性理講解，學者稱玉泉先生。尤袤，字延之，無錫人。舉進士，為泰興令。修築舊城，金兵入揚州，獨泰興以有城得全，民為立生祠。遷著作郎。以言事出守台州，築城捍水，除江東提舉常平。值嵗旱，單車行部覈一路常平米，通有無以賑貸。又推行朱熹荒政於諸郡，除太常少卿兼直學士院。高宗恤禮廟號皆袤討定。光宗即位，奏願謹初戒，始召除給事中，繳還內除勅令。擢禮部尚書，力勸帝孝事重華宫，袤少從喻樗游，得程頤之傳。方乾道、淳熙間，道學為人所忌，袤在掖垣，首言道學有益於治道，孝宗然之。卒，諡文簡。有遂初、文集。孫焴，禮部尚書。 |
