47  | 高穀，字世用，興化人。永樂乙未進士，選庶吉士，改春坊司直。正統十年入內閣。英宗北狩，穀居守預立。景帝進工部尚書、少保、東閣大學士。順天鄉試陳循以子失舉，奏誣考官劉儼。穀曰：「大臣子與寒士並進已不可，况又不安於命乎？」儼乃得免。裕陵復辟，內閣諸臣皆獲罪，上曰：「穀在內閣，議迎駕及南內事，皆左右朕無他腸，可致仕」。穀性儉素，位台司，敝廬瘠田而已。成化初，贈太保，諡文義。 |
