29  | 二月，翰林學士王旦等三人權知貢舉。樞密使王顯罷為山南東道節度使，翰林學士王旦為給事中、同知樞密院事。諸軍校以次遷補，多自陳其勞績者。呼延贊獨進曰：『自念無以報國，不敢更望升擢。』眾頗嘉其知分。贊初為鐵騎都指揮使，從太宗平太原。時方決策征，左右因言：『自此取幽州，猶熱鏊翻餅耳。』贊獨曰：『此餅難翻，言者不足信也。』太宗不從，卒無功而還。君子謂贊粗暴尚能識此，武臣中不可謂無其人也。丙子，曲宴近臣於後苑。 |
