五月壬申，命諸路漕臣兼提舉學事。如本司官俱無出身，即從上一員兼領。詔浚臨安府運河。時北關門外河道堙塞，乃諭大臣，令開撩之。丙子［2］，詔：『學校科舉取士，如經義、詩賦人數不等，即以文理優長通融收補，不得過三分。』庚辰，左朝請大夫周綰為淮南轉運判官。上覽除目，曰：『監司，朝廷耳目之官。今天下安靜，恤民為先，得人則一路安，否則煩擾百出，豈可不慎擇?』辛巳，命權吏部侍郎王循友、權戶部侍郎李朝正編類諸路監司郡守條上裕民事件，俟成書頒之。癸未，初作太廟柘室於室之西牆，金釘、朱戶、黑漆，趺坐如承平之制。甲申，德興縣士民仇取新等請知縣陳鼎再任。鼎嘗權監進奏院，以上書請備邊忤秦檜，故逐。至是檜進呈，上曰：『德政果及於民則固可留，然其間不能無計囑，須加覈實。』御史中丞何若即奏鼎朋附廖剛，鼎坐免去。鼎為邑有惠愛，至今人思之。丙戌，詔作景鐘。鐘高九尺，天子親祠上帝則用之，以皇祐黍尺為準。既成，命秦檜銘之曰：『德純懿兮舜文繼，躋壽域兮敦內外。薦上帝兮偉茲器，聲氣應兮同久視，貽子孫兮彌萬世。』上大悅。甲午，知瀘州馮楫奏天雨豆、甘露降於郡園。右承務郎康與之監尚書六部門。與之，倬子也。上之以星變求言也，倬以選人上書，言彗不足畏。秦檜大喜，遂特改京官。
