二月乙亥朔，御札付知貢舉張鎮已下：擇體國籌邊、尊主庇民之學。詔：『京湖制置司參謀官王登素懷忠義，累著勳勞，提兵援蜀，曾不辭難。功未及成而歿，特贈官五等，合得致仕恩外，更官其一子。』己卯，上曰：『朕自即位以來，嘗以憂勤為心，未嘗一日以位為樂。』大全奏：『昔文、武始於憂勤，終於逸樂。今聖心一於憂勤，過文、武遠矣。』乙酉，上曰：『向士璧提師已到忠州，忠赤可取。』大全奏：『當國家多事之時，正臣子捐軀報國之日。若人人能如士璧之忠，則邊事不足慮矣。』詔疆場未戰，調度尚繁，出內庫十七界楮幣三千萬以助支賞。丙戌，以馬光祖為資政殿學士、沿江制置大使、江東安撫使、知建康府。丁亥，上曰：『蜀中之警，皆因馬湖江不能設備，縱其偷渡。今江之南北皆有哨騎，所以重費區處。』壬辰，都省言：『州縣之間，多行苛政，獄訟又且淹延，非所以愛民也。』有詔令御史臺下諸路提刑司戒飭，令務要政平訟理，違許按劾以聞。出平糴倉米二萬九千九百石有奇賑都民。
