七月乙未朔，劉光世以枯秸生穗為瑞奏之。上曰：『歲豐人不乏食，朝得賢輔佐、軍中有十萬鐵騎乃可為瑞，此外不足信。朕在潛邸時，梁間有芝草，府官皆欲上聞，朕手自碎之，不欲主此奇怪事。』輔臣嘆服。
