十一月癸丑，吏部員外郎嚴抑面對，乞《春秋》三傳釋經處，許出題以取士。上謂大臣曰：『為人君、為人臣，皆不可不知《春秋》。往者建言之臣欲罷讀《春秋》，蓋不思之甚矣。如不可讀，則聖人不修此經也。』甲子，上即宮中閱試殿前馬步諸軍將士，藝精者錫賚有差。自是歲以冬月行之，號『內教』。乙丑，提舉臨安府洞霄宮朱勝非薨。勝非與秦檜有隙，奉祠八年。壬申，上曰：『宗室中之賢者，如嘗中科第及不生是非之人，可收置行在，如寺、監、秘書省，皆可以處之。祖宗以來，不用宗室作宰相，其慮其遠。可用至侍從而止。』秦檜奏乞依舊置宗學教育宗子，上可之。御史中丞楊愿言：『數十年來，士風澆浮，議論蜂起，多飾虛名，不恤國計。沮講和之議者，意在避出疆之行；騰用兵之說者，止欲收流俗之譽。甚者私伊川元祐之說，以為就利避害之計，窺搖國論，詿誤後生。此風不革，臣所甚憂也。願下臣章，獨示朝堂，裨中外洗心自新，以復祖宗之盛。』從之。癸酉，楊愿言藤州安置李光之罪。先是，知藤州周某者誘光唱和，其間言及秦檜和議。有諷刺者積得數篇，密獻於檜。檜怒，令言者論之，乃移光瓊州安置。甲戌，戶部員外郎李朝正言［7］：『今歲浙右間有水災，而江西、湖南粒米狼戾。望嚴遏糴之禁。』上曰：『所論甚當。如有遏糴，州縣可許鄰郡越訴，仍責監司按劾。』
