閏十一月戊寅［8］，提舉秘書省秦熺言秘府多闕書。詔本省即諸路藏書之家借書錄本，且訪先賢墨迹。己卯，詔罷新科明法。癸未，權尚書兵部侍郎米友仁充敷文閣待制、提舉佑神觀、奉朝請。上好米芾書，友仁能世其業，上眷待甚厚。甲申，司農寺主簿宋敦樸面對，言：『望詔守令以來春耕藉之後出郊勸農，諭以天子親耕，使四方曉然知陛下德意，仍自今每春行之。』上曰：『農者天下之本，守令有勸農之名，無勸農之實，徒為文具，何益於事?』乃詔從之。丁酉，進呈太學博士王之望面對，乞仿端拱、咸平故事，悉取近郡所開《群經義疏》及《經典釋文》，令國子監印千百秩，俾郡縣各市一本，置之於學。上曰：『古人讀書，須親師友，雖未必盡得聖經妙旨，然亦有淵源。今士大夫未有自得處，便為注說，以為人師，此何理也?』
